A research tool helping you save and collaborate data and articles for papers, essays and generation of citations.

Zotero is a free and helpful tool for college students, high school students or simply for researches. The main goal of the tool is to be able to save and store references to web sites, magazines and books.

The application layout of Zotero Standalone is simple to other Windows applications like Windows Explorer. That means accessing and finding information is as easy as browsing the tree on the left-hand side while the File/Edit/Tools and Help menus are in the top bar. Accessing references is quick and simple.

Zotero Standalone integrates nicely with several office suites such as Microsoft Words, Open Office and LibreOffice. It also supports sources such as Google Scholar, Google Books, Amazon and Wikipedia. The latter obviously not being a valid research source :)

Using this application is not at all complicated and overall a unique program useful for anybody writing an essay or a research document requiring references and footnotes.
